Mrs. Mercy Mawondo Mwamburi; HSC

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Mercy Mawondo Mwamburi, HSC; on 26th November 2019 after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Joseph Mtalaki Mwashimba and late mama Florence Wacharo of Wongonyi. Daughter-in-law of late Benjamin Mghendi and late mama Emily Waleghwa of Msau sub-location, Taita Taveta County. Beloved wife of Cannon Samuel Mwamburi, OGW; and loving mother of Emily Kituri, Mtalaki Mwamburi, Prof Mghendi Mwamburi, Dr David Mkaya Mwamburi and Florence Mwamburi. Mother-in-law of Julius Koturi, Matilda Mwamburi, Liz Mwamburi and Christine Mwamburi.

Cherished twin sister of the late Margaret Mwangola MBS, HSC; the late Mwambanga Mwashimba, OGW, Peter Lenjo Mwashimba; Sophie Mwakiremba, Dorah Gogo, the late Capt. Mike Mwashimba; and Sam Mwashimba. Sister-in-law of Elina Mwangure, Raheli Masha, the late Edward Mwaliko: Eric Maza, Peris Nyambu,  Dorothy Marami, Jacob Nyange, Robert Mwachongo, the late Doris Kinuthia, the late Laban Mwarema, the late Prudence Mwalugha, the lace Semla Mbashu, Dora Mwaisaka and Rhoda Mwamburi. Most Loving grandmother of ten, and great grandmother of five.

The cortege will leave St. Joseph Funeral Home in Voi on Thursday 5th December at 12 noon for a farewell service at St Barnabas ACK Church, Sophia, Voi. Thereafter, we shall proceed to her Wundanyi home for overnight stay.

The funeral service will be held on Friday 6th December 2019 at St James ACK Church in Mbauro, Wundanyi starting at 10.00 am and followed by burial at her home in Mbauro.
