It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mr. Mubia Gatonye.
Son of the late Geoffrey Gatonye Kiiru and the late Elder Beth Wanjiru Gatonye. Beloved husband of Irene Muthoni and Dr. Mary Nyambura (KU). Father of Wanjiru Gatonye Lewis (USA), Dr. Maina Gatonye (USA), Theuri Gatonye (Spain), Angela Gatonye and Rita Gatonye. Brother of David Kiiru, the late Joseph Chege, Nancy Thairu, Rosemary Gikunju and Lillian Kungu. Uncle of Mubia Kiiru, Kui Thairu, Njuguna Kungu, Wambui Chege, Karanja Gikunju among others. Father-in-law of Wanjiku Theuri and beloved grandfather of Maria Nyambura Ashkune.
Family and friends are meeting at All Saints Cathedral and at his home in South C, Al Mubarak Estate from Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th 2019.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 13th December 2019 at 7am for funeral service at Kagarii, Gakindu, Mukurweini at 10:00am and burial to follow thereafter at his family home in Thunguri.
