It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mwalimu Cyrus Ngugi Wainaina of Mbogo-ini Kahumbu Location, Muranea County.

Son of the late Jonathan Wainaina Gitimu and the late Tabitha Wanjiru Wainaina. Son-in-law to Joseph Thuo Mburu and Grace Njeri Mburu. Beloved husband to Lucy Wamaitha Ngugi. Loving father to Eng. Eliud Wainaina, Joseph Thuo, Jane Wanjiru, the late Grace Njeri, Ezrah Wanyoike, Samuel Mburu and Phoebe Wanjiku.

Father-in-law to Gladys Njambi Wainaina, Mary Thuo, Felix Kariuki, Mathenge Mutahi, Grace Waniiku Wanyoike, Eva Nyambura Mburu and Dr. Chege Mwaura. Brother to the late Ezrah Wanyoike, the late Phoebe Wanjiku, the late Janet Njoki, Charity Wambui, the late Nancy Njeri and the late Alice Wangui.

Grandfather and Great grandfather, a dear dad, uncle, accomplished educator and friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at The Luke Hotel, Roaster, Aries Hall and at their home in Kianda kia Ambui, from 5:00pm for prayers and funeral preparations.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home, Thika Road on Thursday, 18th March, 2021 at 7:30am. The funeral service will be held at Mbogo-ini Primary School Grounds from 10:30am and then proceed for burial at his home in Kianda kia Ambui.

Psalm 48:14 ‘for this is our God for ever and ever, He will be our guide even in the end.’
