For those who knew you longer, mwalimu, may write entire books or chapters to celebrate your life well intentioned and lived. But for me who was privileged to know you for two years only during my ‘A’ Levels at Kakamega High, I only have kind words albeit brief to describe the giant of a man who has slept. I joined one of the biggest school then, losing my then identity in the noise of largese. But I got solace and my footing through your induction and constant mentorship that you offered to us then. Besides, our frequent interactions during our History classes drew me closer to you making me know you better. You were kind, considerate and a father-figure away from home to all students. Your demeanour was also consistent with your character and temperament. Whereas Mr. K was the gentleman corporate leader, and Shaz the ubiquitous on-hand collassus straddling the entire Katch community, you struck the middle ground, hence our natural place of comfort. I learned of Mwalimu’s death with a heavy heart. I join family and Katch Alumni and community to pray to the almighty to accept you in His dwelling unconditionally. May your soul rest in eternal peace, AMEN!

Mwalimu, words are not enough to describe you.
    You came
    You saw
    You conquered

Fare the well our beloved teacher. He resigned from deputyship from his hospital bed. Which ailment was largely imagined as a result of ‘African chemistry’. When I went for my job application reference letter, Mr. K cleverly asked him to do me the favour, knowing very well Mr. Khabs would have murdered my case. Forever in my mind Mwalimu. R.I.P

    Muli. ,THE Great master,
    With A gentleman mien,
    Polite but firm,
    In him, we had comfort.
    We felt at home.
He had a way of getting out the mischief from the mischievous adolescents that we were, calmly with a father’s Counsel.
Never did anyone feel wronged when corrected.
And those who he punished, felt justified by the punishment he meted out.
RIP our mentor. We shall greatly Miss you.

Fare thee well my most humble teacher. While you walked the face of this planet Earth, I can authoritatively say without fear of contradiction, that you did function with supernatural amplitude of comprehension and dealt circumspectly in the affairs of those who came in contact with you. We shall miss you Sir!!
