It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mwalimu Florence Oyiela Sakwa, after long illness bravely fought.

Wife of the late Nelson Mukara Sakwa.

Dearest mother of Modern Ibrahim, Dr Lucy Luta, Matilda Sakwa (DG NYS), Oceanic Saisi, Anita (Agnetta) Onyango, James, Gerald, Aggrey Samuel and Sally.

Daughter of the late James Malumbe Litunya and the late Agnetta Makokha of Ekambuli Village.

Daughter-in-law of the late Mr & Mrs Joseph Muchule of Emmusenjeli village.

Mother-in-law of Dr. Martin Luta, Abraham Saisi, Dr Anselmy Opiyo, Margaret Malumbe, Rose Sakwa and Lydia Sakwa.

Sister of Emmy and the late Davis Esiaba, the late Morisson and Rosmel Litunya, Franklin and Violet Litunya, Dr. Reardon and Joyce Litunya, Dr Waston and Peris Litunya, the late Sherry Litunya, the late Miller and the late Evelyn Litunya.

Sister-in-law of the late Ruth Olocho, the late Rev Joel Ongai, the late Josephine Abwao.

Grandmother of Sydney, Scot, Bruce, Givan, David, Michelle, Arnold, Sherry, Nelson, Sandra, Philip, Mark, Joseph, Madelein, Emanuel, Joshua, Hope, Ethan, Nelson and Zawadi. Great-grandmother of Baby Iman.Aunt and friend to many.

Burial date will be communicated later.

Family and friends will meet on Friday 8th January, 2021, at 4:30pm at All Saints Cathedral, to offset medical and funeral expenses.
