With profound sorrow we announce the death of Mwalimu Fredrick John Munge (Bishop) formerly of Kenya Polytechnic.

Son of the late Paul Muobi & the late Veronica Nduta. Husband of Margaret Muthoni Munge (Thama). Father of Ignatius Kinuthia (Businessman), Danson Gitau (Bayleaf), Michael Kiguru (Mike Spanners), Dominic Ruo (Kampala), Christopher Karume (USA), Veronica Nduta (Kenya Polytechnic). David Njuku (Qatar), Monica Wambui (Thailand). Brother of Teresia Wairimu Kariuki and Michael Kiguru (Pasha). Step brother of John Ng’ang’a, Rev Fredrick Munge, Teresia Wairimu Kimani, Jane Wanjiru Kiambuthi, Agnes Wanjiku WaMburu, Anthony Karume and Grace Wambui Muriithi. Grand father to many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kiriiyu Kiambaa, next to Ex-Senior Chief Koinange Home from 4.00pm for burial arrangements. The cortege leaves from St. Teresa Hospital Funeral Home Kiambu Road at 8.00am on Friday 10/11/2017 for a Funeral Mass at St Patrick Catholic Church Kiambaa from 12.00 noon and burial at his home in Kiriiyu Kiambaa, Kiambu County.

    Sorry to hear the news. He was a noble man and I had privilege to teach with him as a colleague at Karuri High School Banana Hill in early part of his carrier in late 1960s to mid 1970s. May he rest in peace.

    Sad to hear (belatedly) about the passing of “Bishop”.
    I was in the same class with his son Danson in the same college he taught (The great Kenya Polytechnic).
    Fare thee well Dad. Till we meet again.
