It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu Japhet Karimi Kori, on 31st March, 2021, after a long illness bravely borne.

Son of the late Kori Kibuga and the late Jane Wanjiku Kori. Loving husband of Lucy Muthoni Karimi. Brother of the late Charles Kamanda Kori, the late Muthoni Kori and the late Joseph Kinyua Kori. Brother-in-law of the late Jecinta Wanjiru Karoki, Beatrice Wanjiku Karani, Peterson Munge Muriuki, Mary Magdalene Wagatu Kinyanjui, Purity Wamunyu Muriuki, Fredrick Njagi Muriuki and Catherine Wambui.An uncle of many.

Father of Geoffrey Waweru, the late Ethan Muchiri, Charles Kamanda, Catherine Wamutira and the late Grace Wanjiru. Son-in-law of the late Benson Muriuki Munge and the late Grace Wangui Muriuki. Father-in-law of the late Perpetual Hiuko Waweru, the late Mary Njoki Muchiri and Angela Nasibo Kamanda.

Grandfather of Lucy Wangeci Wamutira, Lucy Wangeci Muchiri, Kenrick Watene Kamanda, Tiffany Nyakio Waweru, Teddy Muchoki Kamanda, the late Candella Chomba Muchiri and Jared Magana Waweru. Great-grandfather of Liam Mwaniki.

The cortege leaves Kibugi Funeral Home, on Tuesday 6th April, 2021, at 8:00am for burial at his home in Kamiugua Sub-location, Kutus Location, Kirinyaga County.
