Mwalimu John Koimett

 (1947-2019)

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mwalimu John Chebet Koimett of Kipsyenan — Kampi ya Moto on Tuesday, 29th January, 2019 after a long illness. He was formerly KNUT secretary, Koibatek.

Son of Kipkoimett Tuitoek and the late Teriki, son-in-law of the late Kipyator Kibarus and Kobilo, Teriki and N’geleno. Husband of Ruth Koimett and father of Kemboi, Kipn’getich, the late Carol, Kimeli, Kiprop, Jebiwott, Kiprono and Jeruto. Father-in-law of Catherine, Terry and Peter. Grandfather of Jebet Jelagat Jepkorir, Chris and Lisa. Brother of Christine, Grace, Dr. Ezekiel Koimett, Rosemary, Esau and Solomon. A brother-in-law of the late Changwony Kimenjo, Reuben, Esther Koimett, (PS Transport), Ezekiel, Pauline and Winnie. Cousin of the Wendot, Tumo and Longole families among others.

Friends and relatives will meet in AIC Milimani Nairobi on Tuesday 5th February from 5:30 pm.

Fund raising to defray expenses will be held on Wednesday 6th February at AIC Milimani at 5:30pm, as well as at his Kipsyenan home at 2 pm.

Burial will be on Saturday, 9th February at his Kipsyenan home, Nakuru County.
