Mwalimu Samuel Omayo Nyansing’a Omooria

(1953 – 2021)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we the Omooria family announce the sudden death of our beloved Mwalimu Samuel Omayo Nyansing’a Omooria that occurred at Mater Hospital Nairobi on 19th May 2021.

Mwalimu was the son of the late Abraham Omooria and the late Jerusha Kemunto, Ruth Kwamboka and Kerubo of Kenyerere Village, Sirate sub-location, Nyamira county. Son-in-law to Onchoke and the late Mokeira.

Beloved husband to Hellen Nyaboke. Father to Javason Omooria, Josphat Gwaro, Richard Osoro, Caroline Kerubo, Elizabeth Kwamboka and Ruth Moraa. Brother to Nyakeri, Mellen, Cyrus Motende (formerly Immigration), Ezekiel, the late Mumbo, the late Okwanyo, Bishop Moses, Motabori, Nyomenda, the late Momanyi, Kiyuka, Onchangu, the late Nyaberi, Pastor Masara, Ombui, the late Mumbo, the late Mungei and the late Mose. Father-in-law to Cypline Nyakeya ,Agnes Mainye, Dorcas Osoro, Cosmas Muthamia and George Omwenah. Grandfather to Leon, Lynn, Luis, Llod, Jayden, Jesse, Julien, Crispo, Brendel, Emmanuels, Michelles and Ethan.

Korera to the late Nyakeya and the late Drusillah Nyakeya, Naftal and Mokeira Mainye, the late Elias Omwena and the late Priscah Magoma and Zechariah and Yusabia. Uncle to Nyakeris, Gichanas, Onchangus, Motendes, Momanyis, Mumbos, Okwanyos, Kiyukas, Mungeis, Nyaberis, Ombuis, Orokos among others. Cousin to the Nchogus, Marasis, Bwomas, Okaras, Ngares among others. Semo to Onduko Moruri, the late Charles Sasati.

Brother-in-law to the late Joel, the late Rael, Caren Ascar, Moraa, Lucy Wanjiru, Joyce, Ruth, Nyabuti, Sibea, the late Moraa, Ondiba, Onsongo, Yunia, among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Kenyerere village, Sirate sub-location, virtually and WhatsApp groups have been set for funeral arrangements.

There will be a fundraiser to assist in funeral expenses on Wednesday 26th at his home and Cardinal Otunga Annex 5th floor, Cecilia Hall from 4pm-6pm.

The body is lying at Umash funeral home. The service and burial will be on Friday 28th May 2021 at his home in Kenyererei, Sirate home.
