We celebrate the life of Mwalimu Samuel Ong’era (Samson Ogechi Nyanchong’i), who passed on 5th of October 2018.

Son of the late Nyanchong’i Nyariki and Rebecca Kwamboka. Beloved husband of Jemimah Kerubo. Father of Sarah Bochaberi (DIB Bank Kenya), Eng. Davis Nyanchong’i, Naomi Gesare and Elkanah Ndege. Grandfather of Hope, Psalm, Gabriella, John, Christiano and Aiden. Brother of the late Nyariki, Everson Nyakang’o (Ministry of Lands), the late Mokua, Nyarinda, Florence and Robina. Cousin of Dr. Mokua, Eng. Kimori (Narok County), Charles Ndege (Director, Kebirigo Tea Factory), Charles Mokua and others. Son in-law of the late Samuel Nyawarati and the late Hellen Nyamusi.

Brother in-law of Onyamo, Manga’re, Dinnah, Ongaga, Peris, Bosibori, Mong’are, Omenta and Yunnes. Uncle of Asande Ogeto, Alice Nyariki, Arch. Wesley Nyariki (Ministry of Works), Eng. Walter Nyariki (KERRA), Dickson Ndege, Dr. Okerio Arita (Kimathi University), Jones Mobegi, Fred Mang’are and others. Father in-law of Morris Onduko (Premier Academy), Richard Moturi (Nakuru) and Naomi Moraa. Korera of Samuel Onduko-, Paul Moire and Kennedy Mogaka.

The cortege leaves Nyamira Nursing Home on Thursday 18th October 2018 and burial will take place on Friday 19th October 2018 at his home, Nyaobe Village, Nyakenimo Sub-location, Bokeira Location, Nyamira County.
