It is in humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Anthony Mburo Oketch, at War Memorial Hospital – Nakuru on 5th March 2022, after a short illness bravely borne.

Son to the late Oketch Owade and Phelista Kola. Step-son to Esther Owino.

Beloved husband to the late Mama Lewnida Auma Mburo, Mary Mburo and Monica Akinyi Mburo.

Doting father to the late baby Akinyi, Terry Awuor (USA) Polycarp Mburo (Polish Contractors Ltd) Sylvanus Mburo (USA), George Mburo (USA), Protas Mburo, Kennedy Mburo (Kemri/CGHR), Lillian Mburo (USA), Millicent Mburo (USA), Lucy Mburo, Beatrice Mburo (USA), Collins Mburo (Postal Corporation), Erick Mburo (USA), Pamela Mburo (USA),Vera Mburo (USA) & John Paul Mburo.

Father-in-law to the late Robinson Awuor, Carolyne Achik, Carolyne Mbiu, Daisy Akoth & Zablon Motari. Grandfather to Marvin, Christine, Ian, Kelvin, Ashley, Hawi, Nia, Baron, Sasha,Wesley, Goshen, ljah,Angela,Amani, Prosper, Jabali & Kibali (twins).

Brother-in-law to Mr & Mrs Awuor of Gongo, Mr & Mrs Osukuku of Kitale, Mr & Mrs Mutinga of Machakos, Mr & Mrs Oloo of Alego and Mr&Mrs Kebeno of Kisii. Brother to Fleria Ojwang & Angelina Oruko, Cousin to Falentine Airo, Joseph Owade, Fleria Yogo, Benta Obuya, Prof, Raburu, among others.

Uncle to Antony Ojwang, Arthur Ocholla, Lumumba Owade, Dr. Mathew Owili (DG – Kisumu), Jeff Yogo, Awuor Omino, amongst others. Nephew to the late Carillus Milanya, Seje Owade, Omware Owade amongst others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at G-pot Restaurant – Chaka Road – Nairobi from 6.00pm. A fundraising ceremony will be held at the same venue on 23/03/2022 at 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on 25/03/2022, at 8.00am for a requiem mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church – Koinange Estate at 9.00am and another at Nyabondo Catholic Church, Nyakach, at 4.00pm.  He will be laid to rest on 26/03/2022 at his Nyabondo home, South East Kadiang’a, Nyakach.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
