It is with great humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our Patriarch Mzee David Macharia Maina of Kaganda Sub-location, Murang’a County, on 11/07/2022.

Son to the late Maina Kirigi and Wanjiru Maina. Brother to the late James Kanyiri Maina and Ngendo Maina.

Husband to Hannah Wangui Macharia. Father to Joseph Maina, Esther Wambui, Mercy Munjiru, Rose Ngendo, the late Stephen Irungu, Benson Kanyiri, Mary Wanjiku, Ephantus Mwangi, Jacinta Waitherero and Keziah Waithera.

Father-in-law to Mr. Karanja, Mrs. Catherine Maina, Mr. Kahwai, Kaluki, Kagai, Mburu,Wanjiku and Nganga. Grandfather to Macharia, Muchiri, Wangui, Michael, Dan, Nancy, among others.

Family and friends are meeting daily from 6:00pm at Blue Springs Hotel and at his home in Kaganda Sub-location, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There shall be a service on Sunday 17/07/2022 at Maina’s residence at 4.00pm.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home – Thika Road on Tuesday 19/07/2022 at 7.00am for a funeral service at ACK St. Paul’s Church – Gathambara Kaganda, Muranga County, thereafter burial at his home.

You fought a good fight, finished the race kept the faith. In God’s hand you rest, in our hearts you remain forever.
