It is with deep sorrow and the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Japson Wasike Namunyu on 5th October 2018 in Maturu, Kakamega County.

Son of the late Namunyu Naviimba and the late Esther Asanta. Husband of Sarah Wasike and Mary Wasike.

Father of Filimona Wambulwa (Kenya High Commission, Pakistan), Salome Wasike (Chekalini), Namachanga (Naitiri), Metrine Lumbasi (Mimanjalala), Kennedy Wasike (MKU), and Sikuku.

Brother of the late Murembe, Luvisia, Mutali, Lumbasi, Kulova, Chininga, among others.

Father-in-law of Jesca, Loice, Florence, Timothy Wamalwa and Peter Munialo.

Brother-in-law of the late Patrick Masibo, Matasi, among others.

Grandfather of Claryce (Kimilili), Dr. Mike Wambulwa (Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu), Ruth (Nairobi), Vyonne (Kibabii University), Shiro (JKUAT), Cyrus (Pwani University), Sharon (MMUST), Faith (Evans & Saanga), Evans (Nairobi), Albert (Safaricom), among others.

Basakwa of the late Zedekiah Limisi, Luke, Wekesa and Odindo.

Burial will be held at his home in Maturu village on Saturday, 13th October 2018.
