it is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mzee Meshack Wellington Oketch Dowo.
He was the son of the late Charles Onyango Dowo and Rosemary Aboge and stepson of the late Eunice Apiyo. Brother of the late Grace Mbeya and stepbrother of the late Margaret Ogina, late Jacob Omware, late Julius Agola, late Haddock Odhiambo, late Joseph Nyapuodi, Jane Akoth and the late Margaret Anyango.
He was husband of the late Lucy Njeri Oketch, and father of George Harrison Muchunu, Daniel Odhiambo, Rosemary Aboge, Samuel Omondi, the late Benson Kariuki, Edward Oketch, Gordon Rogo, Dr. Alex Oketch and Charles Dowo.
Father-in-law of Eunice Wanjiru, Esther Wanjiku, Jannet Ondulo, Irene Wanjiku, Shirley Oketch and Nancy Musykoyo. He was a great-grandfather, grandfather, father, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Morgue on Friday 24th October at 2.00 pm for a requiem service at St. Christopher’s ACK Turbo parish followed by a night vigil at his home in Kilimani area (Kambi mapesa). Burial will take place on Saturday 25th October 2025 from 9.00 am at St. Christopher’s ACK Turbo parish.
