Mzee Mwalimu Anthony Nyamu M’Rinkiri

1911 – 2019

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved father Mzee Mwalimu Anthony Nyamu M’Rinkiri on 28th August 2019.

Son of the late Nyamu and Kaguna M’Rinkiri. Brother of Serafino Rwigi, the late Salesio Nkambi, Elias M’Raci, the late Cianjoka, Gachuki and Ciang’ombe. Husband of the late Runjina and Alice. He was brother-in-law of Nchunge, Maricela, Susana, Mary, the late Tito, the late Andrew, Paskwale, Kamunde, the late Ciambora, Mukwaruguru, the late Ntogo and Mbiuki. Loving father of Ananias Kiragu (Mtwapa), Margaret Mugambi (Kiirua, Meru), Justin Ndeke (former Headteacher Ikame), Desderio Nyaga (Advocate Meru), Elosy Kaari (Kambandi Primary), Oliver Kinyua (Forester Kabaru), Hildergard Ithima, Eric Miriti (Meru University), Winfred Jumaa, Benedicta Kainda, Rosemary Murugi, the late Francis Mugambi, Asunta Karimi, Patrick Mutembei, James Mutegi, Loyford Gitaari (Headteacher Mbwiru), Lawrence Kinyua and Purity Muthoni. Father-in-law of the late Mary, Esther, Stephen, the late Fau, Kinyua, Margaret, Mary, Jumaa, Mbaabu, the late Rwanda, Everlyn, the late Dorothy, Gaceri, Lucy, the late Rugendo, Njeri, Agnes, Mary, Nancy and Osward. Grandfather to 70 and great grandfather to 48.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Kibumbu home, Meru Safari Hotel and Casaurina Mtwapa from 5pm.

The cortege will leave Kyeni Hospital mortuary at 9am on Friday 6th September 2019 and thereafter Holy Mass and burial at his Kibumbu home.

Dad, Grand father and great grand father your great counsel, dilligence, guidance, compassion, generosity and leadership will be greatly missed. God rest your soul in eternal peace
