Mzee Ngugi Gitonga

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved Mzee Ngugi Gitonga on 2nd September, 2020 at Nairobi Hospital after a long illness bravely borne.

Husband of Eunice Wangare, Margaret Wanjiru and Mary Waithera. Father of the late Gitonga, the late Waithaka, Joyce Muchiri, Wangechi Macharia, Josphine Mumbi, Samuel Wagoro, Grace Wangare, Jackline Ngina, MiIka Mumbi, Paul Gitonga, Lucy Wangare, Grace Wamaitha, Mercy Mumbi and Esther Wambui. He was also an Uncle, a grandfather and a great-grandfather of many.

Father-in-law of Stephen Muchiri, Henry Macharia, Edwin Wang’ombe, William Samoei, Mwangi Kuria, Monica Nyambura and Betty Gaceri. Brother of the late Mahindi Gitonga, the late Mumbi, the late Kabera, the late Githinji and the late Chege.

Family and friends are meeting at St. Paul’s University Chapel, Nairobi today Friday 4th September, 2020 and or Monday 7th September, 2020 from 5:30 p.m and at his Pioneer Residence Eldoret daily at 5:30 p.m.

There will be a memorial service on Monday 7th September 2020 at St. Paul’s University Chapel at 2.00 p.m The church service and burial will take place on Tuesday 8th September, 2020 at Kamukunji Cemetry, Eldoret starting 11.00 a.m.
