Mzee Paul Kabau Muchoki Kahunyo

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory and a celebration of the good life of our Patriarch Mzee Paul Kabau Muchoki Kahunyo (lthe Wa Kahunyo), who went to be with the Lord on the evening of 29th August, 2022.

Son to the late Kahunyo Kabau and Nyambura Kahunyo. A loving Husband to Esther Wairimu Kabau. Father to Boniface Gichuki, Christopher Kiai, Antony Ngunjiri, Scolastica Nyambura, Robert Gachaga, Margaret Gathoni, Charles Ngari and Benard Wahome.

Son-in-law to the late Kiai Gachaga and the late Margaret Nyambura Kiai. Brother to the late Njoki Gatitu,Wamuyu Muiru and the late Gabriel Ngunjiri Kahunyo.

Grandfather to Kiboi Gichuki, Lucy Wanjiku Kiai, Kabau Kiai, Paul Kabau Ngunjiri, Esther Nyambura, Esther Gachaga, Kelvin Wachira, Tracey Ngari and Alvin Wahome, among many. He was also a great-grandfather to many. Uncle and cousin to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his Gathukimundu home Mukurweini. And in Nairobi on Friday 2nd September 2022 and Monday 5th September, 2022 at Homeland Thika road starting at 6.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Jamii Funeral Home – Karatina on 7Th September, 2022 at 9.00am for a mass service to be held at Mukurweini Catholic Church – Gachiriro, from 11.00am and thereafter, burial at his Gathukimundu home Mukurweini, Nyeri County.
