It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Mzee Richard Opiyo Sewe, after a short illness.

Son of the late Sewe Ofwona of Kagonya and the late Mama Paulina Handa of Kanyamuot.

Husband to the late Mama Maria Othieno.

Son-in-law to the late Rang’enga K’othieno and the late Mama Margaret Adera of Kager Ukwala.

Brother to John Opondo Sewe, Engineer Mark Ofwona Sewe, Zachariah Omondi Sewe, Helida Otit and Joyce Adipo all deceased.

Father of Margaret Ajuang Oloo, Peter Ofwona Opiyo, Anna Awino, Millicent Amolo, Pauline Atieno, Florence Akoth and Jackline Achieng.

Uncle to Paul Ofwona, Charles Ofwona, Diana Ofwona, Peter Ofwona, Mary Ajuang, William Odeno Akelo, Wilson Onyango Akelo, Joan Ofwona, Cornel Ofwona and Philip Oduor, amongst others.

Grandfather to Antonette, Nancy, Oscar, Winnie, Lavender, Esther,Tony and many others and Great-grandfather to many.

The funeral service and burial will be held on Saturday, 29th April, 2023 from 1000hrs at his rural home in Kobondo Village, Sega, Siaya County.

May his soul find Eternal Rest.
