Mzee Simon Waweru Chege

1918 – 2019  

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we accept the passing on of Mzee Simon Waweru Chege.

Husband of the late Ruth Wanjiku Waweru. Father of Margaret Waiyego, the late Virginia Nyambura, the late Nelius Wanjeri, James Mugo, Samuel Maina (Sanlam Insurance) and the late Elishiphah Wangari. Grandfather of Joseph Mwangi, Mercy Njeri, Naomi Wairimu, Peter Waweru, Dominic Ng’ang’a, Winnie Wambui, Alex Waweru, Anthony Mwangi, Tom Gathungwa, Ruth Mugo, Simon Waweru, Martin Ruth, Dennis Waweru, Lewis Chege, Ruth Wangari and Caroline Njeri. Great father of many. Father-in-law of John Mutunga, Stephen Gikonyo, Elizabeth Mugo and Teresa Maina.

Prayers and funeral arrangements meeting continues to be held at his home Kiarathe Village, Kangema, and at Magomano Hotel.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 7.30am on Monday 22nd April 2018 and thereafter funeral service at A.C.K. St. Andrews Kiarathe, Kangema. Burial service will be held at his home Mucoco, Kiarathe Kangema, Murang’a County.
