Our Patriarch Has Rested in Peace

Mzee William Runo Macharia passed away peacefully on May 17th 2022, at the ripe age of 95, in his home at Murang’a Town.

He fought with his illness and despite the pain, Mzee Runo never gave up or complained about his condition but fought to his last breath.

He was the beloved son of the late James Macharia Muriga and the late Ruth Mugure Maina. He was the third born son and brother to the late Ishmael Muriga, the late Joseph Maina and late David Kamau.

He was a loving husband to Leah Njeri Runo and father to Mercy, Godfrey, late Muriga, late Mukami, Emma, the late Thuo, the late Maina,Waititu and Wambui. He was father-in-law to Stanley lrungu.

He was a doting grandfather to Kevin, Hazel, Angela, Raymond, Thomas, Ivy, Peninah, Leanna, June, Keisha,William, Richard, Lawrence, Brian, Eric, Sandra, Ashley, Elizabeth, Michelle and a great grandfather to 9 great grandchildren.

Mzee Runo will be remembered and deeply missed by those who call him father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Funeral will be on 20th May, 11.00 a.m at his farm in Kambirwa, Location 20.
