It is with great sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved father Mzee William Wahiu Kimari of Otiende Estate Langata, who rested in the Lord on 22nd June 2022.

Husband to Jane Muthoni Kimari, son to the late Kimari wa Thuo and Mukami wa Kimari. Father to the late Margaret Kaai, the late Samuel Thuo Kimari, Ruth Githae, U.S.A, Moses Kimari, Peninah Wanjiru USA, the late Peter Thiongo Kimari and Elizabeth Wairema Maina USA.

Father-in-law to Kaai Mugambi of Kaai Mugambi Advocates, Peter Gethae USA, Owen Maina USA and Anne Mueni Kimari of Global Optic Wear Cottage Hospital.

Grandfather to Kevin of Global Optic, Ken, Linda of Samsung (K) Ltd, Murerwa USA, Jane of KQ, Jane of Royal Media, Denden of County Government of Kiambu, Denis, Ian Sankale, Muthoni of Marathon Parts, Sally of Netta Nairobi, Kinya of International Justice Mission, Melvin Germany, David, Kaydee, USA, Lyandra USA, Monica and Jean USA.

Great grandfather to Myles, Mischa, Gabe, Keeyian, Nemayian, Lesha, Makena, Irura, Jayson, Angel Sankale, Crystal, Ryan, Naima and Mwachocho Manyumba.

Friends and relatives are meeting at St. Barnabas church Otiende at 4.30pm every day.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Services (Mbagathi Way) on 12th July 2022 at 8.00am. Funeral service at St. Barnabas Church Otiende at 10.00am. Thereafter burial at Langata Cemetery at 2.00pm.

Philippians 1:20-21 — I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, weather by life or by death. For me, to leave is Christ and to die is a gain.
