It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing on of Madam Nancy Awuor Mumma Ochieng, a teacher at Lwak Mixed Primary School, at Specialists’ Hospital, Kisumu.

She was the cherished wife of Mr. Collins Ochieng Laja of Asembo Kanyikela Lwak and the daughter of Japuonj Augustine Mumma Odongo and Emmerensia Mumma of Ramogi, Nyakach, Sigoti. Daughter-in-law of the late Blassins Laja Denge, the late Gaudensia Agawo Laja and Mama Leocadia Laja and the dear mum to Blacyn Agawo Ochieng and Bhakhita Ochieng. Sister to the late John Opiyo Mumma, the late Minna Oduol, the late Gerald Akumu, the late Jacinta Buoro, Prof. Albert Mumma, Dr. Conny Martinon, Joseph Odongo, Tom Mboya, Dr. Anne Ananga.

Sister-in-law to the late Moses Otieno Laja, Vincent Odhiambo Laja, Irene Laja, Mercy Omondi, Lilian Akeyo, Ben Laja, Meresa Laja, Beatrice Anyango, The Rev. Paul Odhiambo of the Passionists Mission Uganda, Alice Opiyo, Elly Oduol, Catherine Mumma, Jane Mumma, John Buoro, Francois Martinon, Rose Odongo, Annette Mumma, Beatrice Mboya and Anthony Ananga. Loving aunt to Val, Manaan, Emma, Walter, Cabral, Don, Steve, Allan, Minna, Molo, Wema, Maira, Malaika, Heri, Vivian, Arnold, Alain-John, Tonia, Ber, Ethel, Marwa, Mano, Emmanuel, Joshua, Gerry, Sanai among others.

The body is at St. Elizabeth Hospital Lwak Morgue awaiting interment on Friday 10th July, 2020 at her home in Asembo Kanyikela Lwak by a Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Father Kevin Ochieng of Lwak Parish from 8:00 a.m.
