It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Samuel Maina Karienye on 1st November, 2016. Son of the late William Karienye and the late Margaret Wambui.
Husband of Phyllis Wamuyu Maina. Father of Anthony G. and Stella Maina, Tony and Jennifer Cege and the late Erick Ndegwa. Brother of James Heho, late Stanley Rungu, late Hannah Wandia, Julia Wacuka, Wamuyu Gakungu and Dr. Maingi Karienye.
Brother-in-law of Ishmail Githinji, Beth Mwangi, Penelope Wakaridi Kanaiya, Sophie Kabura Njenga, the late Joyce Wanjiru Maingi and the late Edith Muthoni Gachanja. Uncle of many. Grandfather of Sonia Kabura Cege, Dylan Gakuru Maina and Wamuyu Gakuru.
Family and friends are meeting at St. Andrews Church daily from today, Thursday, 3rd and Friday 4th November.
There will be a memorial service at St. Andrews Church, Nairobi on Sunday, 6th November at 2pm.
The Cortege leaves Montenzuma Monalisa Funeral Home on Tuesday, 8th November, 2016 at 7am for the graveside service and burial at his home in Nyandarua, Passenga 106.

Niece of the Wambilyangas and Masavas. Sister-in-law of Emmanuel Kalu, Janet Butu, Sharon. Helen and the Otsyulas Confidante of Phylis and Ndunge.
Relatives and friends are meeting daily at her residence in California Estate for prayers and burial arrangements from 6pm.
The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Parlour in Nairobi on Thursday November 3 for a church service at St John’s ACK and an overnight stay at her residence. Burial will be in Butere Shirembe village on Saturday November 5.
