Oliver Waluvengo Wasila

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved father, Mr. Oliver Waluvengo Wasila, which occurred on the evening of 18th September 2022 in Eldoret. Mr. Waluvengo was a retired accountant who had worked at the University of Nairobi, Moi University and Masinde Muliro University.

Mr. Waluvengo was the loving husband to Mrs. Meresha Achieng Waluvengo of Adventist Book Centre Eldoret. He was a loving father to Eugene Waluvengo of KRA, Terry Waluvengo of KWS, Dorothy Waluvengo of Terige Boys High School, Barack Waluvengo of KRA, Godwin Waluvengo of Moi University, and Yvonne Waluvengo of Transsion Holdings.

He was father-in-law to Minah Bwanamkuu, Raymond Jensen and Vivian Wecheta. He was grandfather to Zain Sanaa, Semira Nasimiyu and Liam Wamboko.

He was the firstborn son to the late Mzee Hudson Wasila Makhakha and the late Mama Ruth Nasimiyu Kivutuli. He was son-in-law to the late Mzee Kilion Amamo and the late Mama lska Amamo and Mama Siprosa Ngito of Migori.

He was grandson to the late Makhakha Sifuma of Ndivisi and Mzee Shadrack kivutuli of Lutacho.

Nephew to Timinah Khakasa Wad, Gordon Pepela Kivutuli, Silas Masika, Dismas Nabibia, Songoi, Makokha, Mumia and many others.

Mr.Waluvengo was a brother to Betty Wakasa, Bernard Situma, Evans Sifuma, Irene Virika, Douglas Murumba, the late Elizabeth Nanjala, the late Violet Mutoro, the late Andrew Makhakha, the late Gideon Soita, and the late Ernest Namisi.

Brother-in-law to Naomi Wekesa, Robert Amamo, Albert Oyoo, Miriam amamo, Phelgona Akinyi, Eunice Amamo, Omolo Amamo, Kutwa, the late Alice, the late Olga Atieno, the late Jack Amamo, the late Orpha Okwanyo, Paul Ngei, Nereah, Elsa Orongo,Alex Opiyo and many others.

Cousin to Eliud Situma, Margaret Munyifwa, Wanyama Buyuni, Kakai Nyukuri, Dr. Elijah Waluvengo Khakame, Margaret Mayabi, Mukoyani, Dr. lyaya, Joan Nambovi Nyukuri, Margaret lyaya, Violet Makhakha, Justice Annet Nyukuri, Kefa lyaya, Prof. Nakhone, Mukambi Khakame, Dr. Henry Wad and a friend to many.

Uncle to Fred Kwame, Hully Okwanyo, Winnie Achieng, Edward Lusenaka, John Shikuri, Kevin Soita, Nanjala, Nasimiyu, Mercy, Linus, Sitawa, Lilian, Mzee Ochieng, Xavier, and many others.

The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, 29” September 2022 at 3.00pm for burial on Friday, 30th September 2022 at his home in Makhonge, Tongaren Sub-county, Bungoma County.
