It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Omogaka Johnson Ongoto Mogesa of Bogetaorio Village, Rikenye Sub-location, East Kitutu Location, Rigoma Division, Nyamira County, which occurred on 5th February, 2023 in a Nairobi Hospital.

Son to the late Mogesa Manyara and the late Oboe Begoro.

Husband to the Late Mama Agnes Mosomi Ongoto and Mama Mary Kemuma Ongoto. Father to Thomas, Mary, Esther, Hellen, Alice, Dr. Joel. Dr. Roger, Dinah, Rael, Susan, Daphine, Charles, Naomi, Stella, Robert, Fred, Jane, Dr. Henry and Daniel.

Father-in-law to Jane, Linnet, Jackline, Joyce, Risper, Mercy, Miriam, Nyabuto, the late Joel Gekonge, Ongiri, Ben Matara, Bon Nyamongo, Isaac, Stephen and Jared.

Brother to the late Bosibori, the late Nyanumba, the late Bonareri, the late Ong’ang’a, the late Obonyo, the late Gari, Nyakoboke. Nyamamba, the late Mary Bosibori, Nyambori, the Late Rebecca, the late Isabella, Nyang’au, the Late Kemari, the late Moguche, the late Ogechi.

Son-in-law to the late Barnabas Monyoro Ong’uti, the late Mama Teresa Moraa Monyoro, the late Paul Momanyi Nyandiko and the late Mama Lucina Moraa.

Korera to the late Onchangu, Maturu, the late Ongiri, Koskey, Nyaribo, the late Atuke, the late Mauya, the late Ondieki, the late Kyenze, Nyangenya, Okemwa, the late Matara, Nyamongo, Mandere, Mabuka and Apoko.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at his home Bogetaorio Village in Nyamira County and Nairobi for burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nairobi on Thursday 16th February, 2023 for burial on Friday 17th February, 2023 at his home, Bogetaorio Village, Rikenye Sub-location, East Kotutu Location, Rigoma Division, Nyamira County.

The final fundraising to help offset hospital and funeral expenses will be done on Tuesday 14th February, 2023 at Professional Centre, Parliament Road – Nairobi at 5.00pm and at his home in Bogetaorio Village Nyamira County on the same day at 2.00pm.  All contributions are sent to: Pay-bill Number: 247247, Account Number: 0724416293.
