Pastor Haida Bruno

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Pastor Haida Bruno that occurred on 13th April 2023 at Coast General Hospital.

Pastor Bruno served at Friends Church Kongowea and held several leadership positions in different organizations. She was the Child Welfare Society of Kenya (CWSK) Mombasa Branch Vice Chairperson and later National Vice Chairperson. Until her demise she was a Trustee and life member of CWSK. She was an icon of children’s welfare and worked relentlessly for the rights of children. She was also the Chairperson, Council of women Clergy, YWCA and Pan Africa Christian Women Association Coast Region, member of National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) Board of Directors, the Vice Chairperson Coast Christian Women Association of Clergy Network, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Mombasa Management Committee.

Born Daughter of Mohamed Musa and Sawiya Narnatovu.

Loving wife to the Late Actin-Ian Sadiki Bruno. Dedicated and beloved mother of Rehema Bruno, Sawiya Bruno, Brenda Bruno, Late Skitter Bruno, Zida Bruno, Ahmed Bruno, Late Yusuf Bruno, Jamila Bruno, Erick Nibonia Bruno and many others.

Sister to Mgeni Mohamed, Zulia Mohamed, Fatuma Mohamed, Musa Mohamed, Khadija Mohamed, Asha Mohamed and Rehema Mohamed.

Grandmother of Ismail Mohamed, Farida Ahmed, Haida Ahmed, Amos Alex, Ian Wanjala, Dominic Gross, Cassandra Gross, Elnam Musari, Jared Musari, Invo Musari, Urnmi Omani, Hannington Mwandawiro, Haida Namtebi Bruno, Swabrina Omar, Mohamed Masha Omarieff Sadick, Justine Sadick Bruno, Sophia Dhahilia Bruno, Jai Sadick Bruno, Bianca Niboma, Arman Nliboma and Yusuf Bruno.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Mtopanga Residence at 6.00p.m for funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Jocham Mombasa Mortuary on Saturday, 22nd April 2023 at 6.00am and thereafter a funeral service at Friends Church Kongowea followed by interment at Mbaraki Cemetery.
