Feb 24, 1966 — July 25, 2018

After a year of fighting late stage lung cancer, Pastor Kenneth Jimmy Edward Stravens finally rested peacefully, on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 in Toronto, Canada, surrounded by family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, the Gobines and the Stravens, and his children Stephanie and Stuart. Those left to cherish his precious memories include his dear wife Emily Liluka and his daughters, Natalie Nina and Eva Chiedza: his sisters, Patricia Pompee (Allen) (Mauritius), Kathy Stravens (Seychelles), Shiela Delpeche (Dean)(Canada), Gracie Pillay (Vincent) (Seychelles), and Angela Labrosse (John) (Canada): his brothers David Gobine (Seychelles), Kevin Gobine (Canada), and Terrence Gobine (Tracy)(Canada): his in-laws Dr. Grace Miheso, Henry Miheso (Penny)(Rwanda), Stanley Miheso (Millie), Gilbert Mmudi, Cynthia Sharp (Norman)(Bermuda); his parents-in-law Hezron and Jennifer Miheso: his special cousin Warren Stravens (Seychelles) among several cousins, numerous nieces and nephews such as Nigel Pompee (UK) and Ruth Linhares (Jonathan)(Canada) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ken served in several ministries including Life Ministry Kenya. Ken has pastored in Uganda, India, Zimbabwe, Seychelles, Mauritius, Reunion, and the Comoros, church planting and training leaders in outreach and discipleship. Most recently he pastored in Heaven-Sent Fellowship and the University of Toronto.

There will be a memorial Service on Thursday August 2nd, 2018 at Mamlaka Chapel at 2 pm.

Ken will be laid to rest in Toronto, Canada on Saturday August 2018.
