Paul Edward Kariuki Ngaruiya

It is with the deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Paul Edward Kariuki Ngaruiya also popularly known as DAMU MPYA, PEKI, Ed or the General by family and friends. His passing occurred on the 23rd of May, 2022 in Nairobi, Kenya at the Nairobi Hospital.

He was the husband of Muthoni Waithaka Ngaruiya and son to the late Elder Joed Ngaruiya Snr and the late Elder Lilian Wairimu Snr. Loving father to Joed Ngaruiya (US), Lian Wairimu Kariuki and Anne Melissa Kariuki.

Brother to Sam Ngaruiya (US), Dan Ngaruiya and Martin Ngaruiya. Grandfather to Liam Njuguna Ngaruiya.

Son-in-Law to the late Josphat Waithaka Machua and Hannah Waithaka Machua. Brother-in-law to Machua Waithaka, Goko Waithaka, Nyokabi Maina, Rosemary Machua,Antony Maina Mwangi and Sharon Goko. He was a beloved uncle, nephew, friend and cousin to many.

The body is at Lee Funeral Home, however, meetings are being held at the family’s Peponi residence from 6:30pm – 7:30pm.

There will be a church service at Nairobi Central SDA Church on Thursday, 2nd June, 2022 from 10.00am then later proceed to the burial service that will be held at Gikambura.

Kariuki Ngaruiya was a sociable personality who was loved widely and touched many hearts. His kind nature and charisma will always be appreciated and never be forgotten. He will be sorely missed by family, friends and all that know him.
