Peris Gachuku Gikunju

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Peris Gachuku, on Tuesday 12th November, 2019.

Beloved wife of the Late Nephat Gikunju Karinga of Karia village Kerugoya, Kirinyaga County. Daughter of the Late Ndaburu wa Kiundu and the Late Wanjiru Munge. Sister of the Late Muchiri Ndaburu, Eunice Wangari, Joyce Ndunguru, the Late Dickson Munge, Jane Njoki, Ndege Ndaburu, Sofia Wairimu, and James Muriuki. Loving Mother of the Late Faith Muikia, Robert Muchiri (Mutitu Polytechnic), Prof. Joseph Kangangi Gikunju (JKUAT), Mary Njeri, Rose Gikunju (St. Paul’s University), Francis Muwe Gikunju (Umoja), John Kinyua Gikunju (ASL), Milcah Gikunju (UoN), Edith Gikunju (Samaj School) and Beth Gikunju (KCB). Mother in law of John Muikia, Lilian Muchiri, Irene Kangangi, late Margaret Nyawira, Joyce Nyokabi, Damaris Wayua, Michael Kimani (KUCCPS), Jeremiah Wahome (KEPTAP) and Paul Thaithi (KCB). She was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren and she was an Aunt to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and Funeral arrangements at her home Karia village, Ndui-ini, Kirinyaga County.

The funeral cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Thursday, 21st November, 2019 at 6.30am for funeral service at ACK St. Mary’s Gakoigo church at 11:00 am and burial thereafter at her farm in Karia along Kutus Kerugoya road.
