Peter Kamau Mwangi (Mwalimu)

We regret to announce the death of our beloved Peter Kamau Mwangi of Gikenere, Karia Village, Githunguri, Kiambu.

He was the son of the late Mwangi wa Kimotho and Zipporah Nyambura, husband to the late Teresia Njambi Kamau. Father of Joseph Kamau Mwangi (Former Director CID) & Anne Mwangi, the late Edward Nganga, Patricia Nyambura, Chief Inspector John Njoroge Kamau (Flying squad Nairobi) & Anne Njoroge, Margaret Njeri & James Mwaura, the late Bernard Mbugua, Pauline Mwangi (Serena Hotels), Mike Kimotho Kamau (Imperial Hotel Kisumu) & Jane Kimotho (Britam), Assumpta Nyambura (KDIC) & Stephen Mwangi (I&M Bank), Mercy Wangari Njoroge (KMTC) and Maureen Ruguru Kamau (Alan Dick). Brother of Ham Njoroge, Hannah Ruguru, Aunt Wairimu and the late Margaret Njeri. Grandfather of Peter Kamau Nganga (EABL), Eli Kamau & Lorraine Wanjiku, Josh Kahiga “Pepe” & Selina Pratt, Emelda Njambi among others, he was a doting great grandfather to many.

Family and Friends are meeting at St Andrews Church Nairobi daily starting at 5:30pm, and at his home in Karia village for prayers and Funeral announcements.

The Cortege shall leave Umash Funeral Home at 9.00am on Saturday 25th May for a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Githareini Catholic Church Karia at 12.00pm, and thereafter burial rites at his homestead.
