Peter Ng’ang’a Mweru

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing on of Peter Ng’ang’a Mweru on Monday, 3 I st August, 2020. Until his death, he was the Coordinator – Community Organizing Training Programme (COT).

Son of Esther Mweru Githii. Husband of Rose Wanjiku Ng’ang’a. Father of Esthelynn Mweru Ng’ang’a. Brother of Jane Waithera, Githii Mweru, Francis Maim, Susan Wairimu, Samuel Kimani. Son-in-law of Edward Kamau Kangunu and Margaret Wanjiru Kamau. Nephew of Kihara Githii. Uncle, brother-in-law and cousin of many.

Funeral meetings being held at his Mwihoko home. Mass will be held today 04/06/2020 at 6.00pm in his Mwihoko residents and Sunday 6/9/20, 8.30a.m.at St John’s Catholic Church — Korogocho, where he grew.

Cortege leaves KU Funeral Home on Tuesday, 8th September, 2020 at 7.00 a.m. for burial in Mununga Location in Kinyona, Murang’a.

We celebrate his contribution and commitment to community organizing and human rights struggles for social justice.
