It’s with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the untimely demise of retired teacher Johnson Thiga Mathenge which occurred on the 3rd August, 2019.

Son of the late Nelson Mathenge and the late Leah Mugure Mathenge of Ngaini Nyeri County.

Son-in-law of Elizabeth Muthoni Kihuha and the late Karanja Kihuha. Husband of Joycelyne Wanjiku Thiga.

Father of Emily Mugure (Machakos General Hospital), Alex Mathenge, Newton Mwangi, Elizabeth Muthoni, Lucy Wangui, Samuel Kabiru, Erick Gichuru and Judy Njoki.

Father-in-law of Dr. J.K Nzeve, Nancy, Naomi, Kimani, Lang’at, Ndung’u. Grandfather of many.

A brother of Lucy, Gichuru, Wambui, Maina, Njoki and Matu and the late Kabiru.

Brother-in-law of David, Robert, Steve, Charles, Eunice, Beatrice and Alice.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Shauri, Ngai-ndeithia farm Nyahururu, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Nyahururu Funeral Home, on 9th August at 8.00am for a funeral service to be held at his home.
