Philip Ndollo Chumbe

(1957 – 2020)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Mr. Philip Ndollo Chumbe which occurred on 23rd October 2020 at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.

He joined Chemelil Sugar Company in 1980 in the Finance department. He retired in 2017 as Company Cashier. His service to the community extended beyond the milling firm, as he was active in church and other welfare groups. He served as a chairman at St. Theresa’s Bhanji Catholic Church, Treasurer St. Benedict Tamu Parish, and treasurer of Osiepe Practical Action (Tumaini) to name but a few.

Son of the late Mzee Alfred Chumbe Auma and the late Mama Lucia Adongo Chumbe, of Kano Kobura Rabuor. Loving husband of Mama Magret Akumu Ndollo. Brother to Naftali Oyoo, Felister Aoko, the late Tom Ogendo, the late Joshua Odago, the late Teresia Mitende, the late Maria Ajwang, others include, Moris Kola, Lucas Hongo, Rashid Liech, the late Japheth Ambuso, the late Gabriel Juma, the late James Randa, the late Peter Auma, the late Meressia Opiyo and the late Phelister Nyariwo. Father to Grace, Kennedy, Vincent, the late Eng. Afred and the late Moureen. The burial will take place on Sat 7th November, 2020 at his home Chemelil Mashambani Godabuoro sub-location Muhoroni, Kisumu County.
