Phona Mong’ina Okemwa

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Phona Mong’ina Okemwa.

Daughter of the late Athanus Joseph Okemwa and Jane Moraa (formerly of Homabay County Teaching and Referral Hospital). Sister of Alice, Sonia, Stella, Carolyne, Beril, Leila and Shallet. Aunt of Eve, Jayden, Golden, Tatiana and Drake. Niece Of the late Onkware, the late Mong’ina, the late Jemima Nyareso, Serphine Nyamoita, Benson Ateka, Perpetuah Nyambare, Robinson Nyakundi among others. Cousin of Onkwares, Ongakis, Gichanas, Nyagakas, Atekas, Nyakundis among others. Sister-in-law of Shem Maranga, Anderson Ayuku and Geoffrey Ondari.

The cortege leaves Med 25 Kirindo Mortuary on Thursday 15th October 2020 for an overnight vigil at her home in Bombure Village. Burial will be held on Friday 16th October 2020 at her home in Bombure Village.
