Prof. John Gowland Mwangi

It is with immeasurable grief that we announce the tragic passing on of Prof. John Gowland Mwangi of Egerton University. He died on Saturday 15th May, 2021, at Valley Hospital, Nakuru, from injuries incurred after a tragic road accident on the same day.

The last born son of the late Elijah Njoroge Gachuru and the late Ruth Wanjiku. Brother of the late Grishon Mburu Gachuru and Margaret Mugure. He leaves behind his wife, Mary Mwangi and 3 children, Ppag, Emmy and Faith.

Friends, colleagues and family are meeting daily at Professor’s residence; next to CITAM, along the Nakuru – Nairobi Highway, from 5.00pm, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a memorial service at the Nakuru Chapel, Soilo, on Thursday 20th May 2021, from 3.00pm, followed by a fundraising towards funeral expenses. For contributions: John Mwangi Funeral Fund. Pay-bill Number: (8014963).Account No. (Your Name).
