It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rachael Watiri Waweru of Ol Kalou which occurred on 24th September, 2019.
Daughter of Samuel Gitahi Waituika and Margaret Wanjiru Gitahi. Wife of Peter Waweru Gakuo of Ol Kalou Central Scheme Mugumo, Nyandarua County. Sister of the Late Mwaura, Muichuri, Njoroge, Kuria, Gathoni, Kariuki and Esther Wambui of Nakuru. Mother of Esther Karanja (USA), Margaret Kigo (Nakuru), Jack Waweru (Narok), Ruth Wamagata (Nakuru), Mary Mwaniki (OL Kalou), Monica Maina (USA), Stephen Gitahi alias Jamaica (Nakuru), Benson Mwaura and John Ngugi (Turi). Mother-in-law of Dr. Benson Karanja (USA), Peter Kigo (Nakuru), Joseph Wamagata (Nakuru), Peter Mwaniki (Ol Kalou), Charles Maina (USA), Alice Jack (Narok), Jane Gitahi (Nakuru), Everline Njoroge (Ol Kalou), Sarah Mwaura and Josephine John all of Turi. Grand mother and Great grandmother of many.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her home at Ol Kalou — Mugumo, Tranquil Hotel Ol Kalou and Kokeb Hotel — Nakuru from 5pm.
The cortege leaves Nakuru War Memorial Mortuary on Tuesday 1st October 2019 at 8.30am and proceed to Church of Restoration, Ol Kalou for funeral service followed by burial at her home, Mugumo, Ol Kalou, Central Scheme.
