It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Sister-in-Christ, Retired Mwalimu, Rachel Wanjiku Mugo that occurred on Saturday 29/08/2020. She hailed from Kiairathe village, Kangema, Murang’a County.

Daughter of the late Daniel Ndegwa and the late Monica Wambui. Wife of the late Dedan Mugo. Mother of George Kabiru (Kerarapon, Ngong), Dr. Jean W. Mugo, (M.D. U.S.A.), Kenneth Ndegwa (NMC, Nairobi), Faith Wambui (I.E.B.C.) and David Githaiga Nyeri). Mother-in-law of Wanjiku Kabiru City Hall, Nairobi), Chris Ogbu (U.S.A.), Jane Ndegwa (Kibutha Primary), David Kamau (Karura), and Jane Githaiga (Nyeri).

Sister of the late Mary Njuguna, the late Ezekiel Kimemia, the late Asenath Gachihi, Rachel Wanjiku Prof. Elijah Ndegwa, Agatha Irungu, the late Lucy Kimani, the late Paul Mirang’a, Peter Ndibui, James Maina, and Benjamin Chege. Sister-in-law of Nelius Wairimu and the late Wilson Githaiga. Grandmother and great grandmother, sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, and friend, to many.

The cortege leaves Kiria-ini Mission Hospital on Saturday 05/09/2020 at 8.00am for the funeral service at St. Andrew’s A.C.K. Kiairathe Church from 10.00a.m, and thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her home in Kiairathe village.

Maitu in God’s Hands you rest, in our hearts you remain forever. Amen.
