Raphael Kuria Kiwara

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Raphael Kuria Kiwara of Kidfarmaco, Kikuyu on 5th June 2019.

Son of the late Duncan Kiwara and the late Ruth Wanjiru of Kirangi village, Ndarugu location, Gatundu South. Husband of Gladwell Wanjiru Kiwara of Technical University of Kenya. Father of Caroline Wanjiku Kiwara of WorldVision Somalia, Salome Kiwara-Wilson of Office of the State Appellate Defender, Illinois and Deborah Kiwara-Ngugi of Open Capital Advisors. Father-in-law of Anthony Wilson and Stanley Ngugi. Grandfather of Sekou Kuria and Anthony Kuria Wilson. Brother of the late James Wanjihia, the late David Mutura, J.F.K Karanja, Virginia Wangui, the late Lucy Mwihaki Ngigi, Jacinta Gitau, Dominic Kariuki, the late Stephen Kimani, John Kiwara (Ngong), Peter Wanjihia (Kiserian), Fred Wanjihia (Ngong), Joseph Wanjihia and Nicodemus Karanja. Son-in-law of the late Elijah Mwangi and the late Beth Wanjiku. Brother-in-law of Michael Kamau (Kerugoya), Joseph Kimakia (Rongai), Captain Wilfred Ngumo (Rongai), Mary Wanjiru, Isaac Ruga, Jacob Mugo (Kiambu), Peter Kamau (Ruiru), Esther Nyambura (Kenol),Anne Njuguna (UK) and Hilda Nduta. Uncle of many. Cousin of Wanjemas, Murius, Kariukis, Kagos, Nyagititus and Mumbis.

Friends and Family are meeting at St. Paul’s Chapel, University of Nairobi at 5:30 p.m. on 10th and 11th June 2019 for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University funeral home on Wednesday 12th June 2019 at 8a.m. for the funeral at St. Joseph Catholic Church Mutunguru and burial at Muchugu village, Karatu, Gatundu South, Kiambu.
