Rebecca Moraa Nyakeri

It is with deep sorrow that we, the Nyakeri family announce the death of Mama Rebecca Moraa Nyakeri who passed away on 8th December 2020 in Nairobi.

Wife to Richard Nyakeri Marasi and co- wife to Jane Nyaboke. Mother to Charles, Kemunto, Florence, Josephine, late Esther, Atuti, Omwoyo (MMM), Eunice, Nyakenyanya and Douglas (OAG). Stepmother to Marasi, Bernard (USA), Magati, Maroko, Josphat., Milkah and Ombau.
Daughter of late Abraham and Pauline Ogongi. Step daughter to Truphena Binyanya. Daughter in-law to Marasi Masara and Kemunto Marasi, Nehemiah Mwencha, Timotheo Kiage, Silivanus Moturi, Nyabiba, Ondiba, Ondieki, Nyangena, Onsongo, Komenda – all late and Patroba Nyachiro among others.
Sister to Bosire, Peliah, Nyameyio, Omoro, Ebisibah, Nyakango – all late. Nyamanyara, Obiero, Okinyi, Nyabena and Okongo. Sister in-law to Kemuma, Askah, Mona, Omayo, Nyakego,Anuri, Masara, Marasi, -all late. Amb. Mwencha, Prof. Onsongo, Prof. Kiage, Principal Chief Jane Matara, Nyandika, Matini, Mitaki, Obiri, Nyakundi, Nemwel, Kwamboka, Biliah, Moraa and Mong’ina among others. Grandmother to Ondiekl, Bosibori, Moraa, Lydia, Kemuma, Bogonko, Caroline, Pauline, Dennis, Sofia, late Onchiri, Linet, Jared, Jenipher, Judy, Cecilia, Dennis, Sharon, Nicole, Ian, Natania, Yuvenalis,Allan, Crispus, Shirley, Shanice and Joy. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home – Nairobi – on 23rd December 2020.

Burial ceremony will be held on 24th December 2020 at Nyalkuro Primary School grounds from 11.00 am Thereafter, she will be laid to rest at her home – Tingla Village, Manga Sub County, Nyamira County Main fund raising will be held on Monday 21rd December,2020 Norwich Union House Nairobi 4th floor from 5.00pm and at her Ting’a home.
