It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing to glory of Rev. Dr. Washington Chege of Thika Diocese on Saturday 3rd February 2024.
Beloved husband of Catherine Wanja Chege.
Son to the late Meshack Kamau and the late Debora Kibura. Brother to Grace Leah Nyambura, the late Eliah Kigondu, the late Gerrishon Gatiru, Joyce Nyambura (Zanzibar) and Joseph Kigondu.
Father to Deborah Kibura (USA), Jerusha Githuku (Operation Eyesight), Robert Kamau (USA) and the late Alfred Chege.
Father-in-law to Michael Githuku and Yawa Chege.
Grandfather to Wanda Chege, Makeda Chege, Anani Washington Chege, Kyle Kamau and Karl Chege among others. Cousin and uncle to many.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at ACK Mugumo-ini Church,Thika from 6.30pm and at his residence at Viewland Estate,Thika.
The cortege leaves KU funeral Home on Thursday, 15th February 2024 at 9.00am for the funeral service at his farm in Gatuanyaga at 10.00am.
RiP Rev. Dr. Washington. You taught me at Daystar University and also informed me we were neighbors back in Thika. My condolences to the family.

Very sad.Fare thee well my brother in Christ,friend,mentor who endorsed one of my academic books in theology and Christian history. R I P may God give his wife and family the ability to bear this immense loss.
