Rev. Fr Mathew Puthumana, SDB

With deep sorrow, the Provincial Superior and the Salesians of Don Bosco, Eastern Africa, regret to announce the death of Rev. Fr. Mathew Puthumana SDB. Death came to him on 08th October 2022, as he walked to minister at a Catholic Parish in Iringa,Tanzania, being hit by a motorbike.

Born in India, Father Matthew served in Kenya and Tanzania for 38 years, including being the Parish Priest at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, Upperhill, Nairobi (2008-20I3), and the Director of the Institute of Youth Studies, Tangaza College, Nairobi (2014-2016).

A requiem mass will be held on 15th October 2022, Saturday, at 4.00pm, at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, Upperhill, Nairobi.

The funeral will take place at Don Bosco Major Seminary Moshi,Tanzania on 20th October 2022, starting at 10am.

May God grant him eternal peace.
