My sincere condolences, As an alumni of st Paul junior seminary, had an opportunity of interacting with the late fr Mathenge who was in form3 while I was in for. He was polite, social, likeable and a role model. I last met him when he was the parish priest mwenji, when he came to our home to offer mass for my aged mother. Fr donatus was readily available to his parishioners, particularly the ailing and aged. Rest in peace fr.

I received the sad news about the passage into glory of Rev.Fr.Prof.Donatus Mathenge.

Dr. Mathenge was our Rector at Christ The King Major Seminary in Nyeri from the year 2001 to around 2003.

Dr.Mathenge distinguished himself as a Scholar, a Thinker but equally humorous and a keen listener. He inculcated in many of us the attitude of critical thinking, liberalism and practical approach to issues as he was known to loathe sycophancy, vain glory and “good boyism”. As an administrator,he was sober, balanced and fair in passing verdict.

Rest in eternal Peace Dr. Mathenge, The Teacher of Grace, for indeed God’s Grace is sufficient. Your absence will be felt and your presence missed.

May countless Angels moonlight walk you back to your Maker.

    REPUBLIC OF KENYA.
