Rev. Fr. Remigius Lumwachi Sore

The Catholic Diocese of Kakamega announces the passing on of Rev. Fr. Remigius Lumwachi Sore of Sacred Heart Parish Mukumu.

The death occurred on 27th August 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Mukumu. Fr. Remmy was an alumnus of Holy Cross Pontifical University in Rome with a PhD in Canon law. Former Parish Priest of St Kizito Lusumu, Episcopal Vicar for the religious (CDoK), Chair St. Mary’s Hospital Mumias. Until his death he was serving at Sacred Heart Parish Mukumu.

Son of the Late Clement Sore Indoko and the late Julieta Kezia Sore of lburimbuli, Ishirembe, Shirulu Sub-location in Kakamega County. Brother to Inviolata Lunani Sore (USA), Ursula Sore Bahati (NRB), Norbert Kwasira Sore, Beatrice Chimoli Sore , Condrade Ingosi Sore, Stanley Sore, Millicent Sore kweyu, Mildred Sore Akweywa, Euphemia Sore and Cyril Sore. He belonged to the Lubkwas family of Iburimbuli, Ishirembe.

The cortege leaves St. Elizabeth Hospital Morgue Mukumu on 2nd September, 2020 at 1.00pm (EAT). Requiem mass will be conducted at 2.00pm on 2nd September, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Kakamega.

The Burial Mass will be on 3rd September at 8.00 am and thereafter internment at St. Peter’s Minor Seminary Mukumu, Clergy cemetery.
