It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Rita Chelangat Kirui Deputy principal of Siret Secondary School, Kipkelion West Sub-county, which occurred at St Luke Hospital, Eldoret on 26th October, 2019 after a short illness.

Beloved wife of Benard Kiptoo Kirui, Chief Officer (Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and livestock) County Government of Kericho. Mother of Collins Kibet Too (NCA, Nairobi), Brigitte Chebet (UoN, Veterinary), Marsdine Kimutai Too (UoN, Engineering), Gerald Kipruto (St. Peters Elite School, Gilgil). Daughter of the late Joseph Ngeno and the late Sally Ngeno of Simoti village, Konoin, Bomet County. Sister of Nelson Loptany, the late Jared Loptany, Brenda Bett, Sharon Chepkorir and Collins Cheruiyot. Daughter-in-law of Mr. Philip Sang and Lily Sang of Cheborgei village, Bureti, Kericho County. Sister-in-law of Beatrice Langat, Vanessa Grant (Rongai), Ronald Kirui (Link Space Technologies), Leonard Kirui (SDY, Baringo), Winny Chepkorir (Karatina University), Robert Langat, Willy Bett, Purity Kirui (Equity Bank), Beatrice Kirui (Kericho High School).

The cortege will leave Lazarus Funeral Home, Kericho on Friday 1st November, 2019 for a requiem service that will be held at Kimologit AIC Church, Kipkelion and thereafter a night vigil at her home, Kaplaba farm.

The burial will take place at Kaplaba farm on Saturday 2nd November, 2019 as from 10.00 hrs.
