It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that Maseno University announces the sudden demise of Rose Akinyi Onyango of Student Welfare Services Department, which occurred on 21st August, 2022 at Nightingale Hospital – Kisumu, after a short illness.
Beloved wife to Benjamin Okola of Margwar Village, Siaya County. Loving mother to Tevin John Onyango. Daughter to the late John O. Okwaro and the late Yuanita Onyango. Daughter-In-law to the late Hezron Odhiambo and the late Margaret Abiero of Magwar Village, Karuoth.
Sister to the late Judith, the late Seline, Emma, Thomas, Hanningtone, Mercy and Carren. Sister-in-law to Susan, Emily and Steve, among others.
Auntie to Hillary, Patience, Anita T., Beryl, Samora, Henrick, Javier, Ashley and Sharon. Grandmother to Selina and Gift. Niece to Ierusa Abungu and Monica Agola, among others.
Cousin to Prof. George Mark, Dr. Eve, Lilian, Janet, Gloria,Tina, Grace Martin, Jeniffer, Grace Agola, Fred, Celesa, John, among others.
The cortege leaves Nightingale Hospital Mortuary – Kondele (Kisumu), on Friday, 2nd September 2022 at noon.The burial will take place on Saturday, 3rd September 2022 at her matrimonial home in Margwar Village, Central Alego, Siaya County.
