It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Rose Kanana Kathenya of Kiriguni sub location, Mugumango location Maara sub county Tharaka Nithi county.

Wife of Wilfred Kathenya Kanyamba. Mother of Michael Kimathi, Newton Kithinji, Annita Kathomi, Alvin Karani and Erick Kinoti. Mother in-law of Susan Mwende, Moreen Nyawira, Patricious Njue, Tracy Kambura and Dorcas Murugi. Foster mother of Henry Kirema and Fridah Kawira. Daughter-in-law of Japhet Mwiandi and Bridget Kajira. Sister of Muthaura, Kanyiri, Naitore, Kathure. Kirima, Thuranira, Kaimenyi, Mureti and Catherine. Sister in-law of David, Dorothy, Hildah, Julius, Kenneth, Jerusha, Mathrice, Bonface, Felix, Betty, Kinyua, Sophia and the late Juliet. Grandmother of Elvis, Ryan, Chris, Patience, Amabel, Favour, Moffat, Marvin, Melvin, Sharon, and Nathan.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial preparations at home (Mukui village).

The cortege leaves Chogoria hospital mortuary on Wednesday 21st August 2019 at 10 am for a funeral service at PCEA Mukui church and later laid to rest at home.
