We regret to announce the demise of Mr. Gabriel Itela, of Ikuruk Clan, Kaliwa Location, Amukura Division, Teso South Sub-county, Busia County, on the 6th January, 2021.

He previously worked with Standard Chartered Sank of Kenya, Central Bank of Kenya and Guilders Bank and was the Deputy Prime Minister for Iteso Cultural Union, Kenya.

Husband of Imelda Nabwire and Gladys Mudembei. Brother of the late Thomas Emase, Angela Ikalungure, the late Granda Abukui, Timothy Omuse, Getrude Ajilong, the late Gerald Otieng’i and the late Noelina Asikuku.

Father of Anthony Okello, Steve Okobo, Louis Okodoi, late Valerian lkamar, Mary Ikalungure, Enid Nasimiyu, Maureen Nekesa, Sharon Toto, Hilary Odera and Lawrence Okobo.

Son-in-law of the late Lino Ikamar, the late Aserena Amulen, the late Herman Mulindi and the late Tabitha Shitwatso.

Brother-in-law of Veronica Emase, the late Mary Omuse, Gertrude Omuse, Mary Otieng’i, James Ikamar, jacinta Omuse, Philomena Atwane, Mary lkamar, Joseph Omuse, Celestine Akamaran, Edda Wendo, Festo Shanzira, the late Andrew Lwangu, the late Sammy Kubai, Simon Angot, the late Omari, Rose Mutola, John Abakala, Wycliffe Sunguti and others.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily in Karen, Nairobi County, and Segero, Busia County.

A fundraising will be held at his Segero home, on Tuesday 126 January, 2021, at 10.00am.

A requiem mass will be held on Tuesday 12th January, 202 1 at 2:30pm – St. John the Evangelist Church Karen (Lang’ata South Road) and on the 15th January, 2021, at 10:00am – St. Rose Lima, Amukura Catholic Parish, Busia County.

The burial Mass will start at 8.00am, on 16th January 2021, followed by the burial at his Segero, Kaliwa Location.
