Rt. Rev Stephen Niihia Mwangi, BISHOP EMERITUS ACK Diocese of Nakuru

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Bishop Emeritus the Rt. Rev Stephen Niihia Mwangi, the 4th Bishop of ACK Diocese of Nakuru, which occurred on 2 May 2024 at the Nairobi Hospital.

He was the Son of the late Mathias Mwangi & the late Lilian Wanjiru.

Husband of the late Lay Canon Hannah Wanjiku Njihia and Rebecca Wanjiru Nijihia. Father of Timothy Njihia & Eva, Rufus Niihia & Phyllis, Precious, Patience and Prince.

Son-in-law of the late Rufus Ng’ang’a & Lilian Wambui, Archbishop Jonah Bedan & Consolata Jonah.

Brother of the late Joyce, Joseph, Dr. Muthua, Jane, Margaret, Paul.

Brother-in-law of Nahashon, Moses, Nathaniel, Eunice, Joel, Samuel, Joshua, Daniel, Gideon, Esther, Margaret, Naomi. Grandfather of Chloe and Charlene, and uncle of many.

Meetings for burial arrangements are taking place at ACK. St. Christopher’s Church Hall, Nakuru everyday starting from 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home, Nakuru, on Friday 10th May 2024, 8.00am. The funeral service will be held at the ACK Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Nakuru beginning 10.00am followed by the burial service at ACK St. Christopher’s Church grounds, near the Provincial General Hospital, Nakuru.
