It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of John Michael Wafula Kamwessar on 28th March 2018 at Mt Elgon County Hospital-Kitale.

Son of the late Ali Kamwessar and the late Maria Namaemba. Beloved spouse of Rosalia Nakhungu Wafula. Loving father of Sr. Leonida Wafula (Assumption Sisters of Eldoret), the late Felistas Nelima, Maurice Wafula, Protus Wamalwa, Patrick Kamwessar (Kakamega County Assembly), Vitalis Wafula (Trans-Nzoia County Government), Caroline Namalwa, Catherine Nasambu (Tanzania), Stephen Wangila, Asumpta Neununa (Nairobi City County), the late Antony Simiyu, Agnetta Musuya, Cornelius Wanjala, Longinus Juma, Daniel Wafula and Felix Wafula.

Doting grandfather of 47 among them; Paul Wafula (Kakamega County Government), Linda Nekesa (Legemet Primary), Elizabeth (Trans-Nzoia County Assembly) and Pius Wanyonyi. Great grandfather of 20. Brother of the Late Nasike, the late Nasipwondi, Namachanja, Nang’unda, the late Wanyonyi and Wamalwa. Brother in-law of Delphine Wachiye (Kitale Diocese), Clement Nabichenje, Brigid (St Michael-Liyavo Girls) among others.

The cortege leaves Kiminini Cottage Mortuary on Thursday 05.04.2018 at 1.00 pm for a requiem mass at St Pius Sub Parish-Maresi, Tongaren Parish at 3.00pm.

Burial will be on Saturday 07.04.2018 at his Namaemba Farm, Maresi Village, Bungoma North District at 10.00am.
