We announce the promotion to glory of Madam Florio Obura, which occurred on February 9/02/2020.

Wife of Peter Obura Kure of Kano Kabonyo-Nduru, Kisumu County. Co-wife of Retired Senior Teacher Rosent Obura and Mama Mary Obura. Daughter of the late Joshua Ndeda, Miruka Akongo of Nyakach, Kusa in Kisumu County. Mother of Ambrose Dodwel Kure (Shipping and Maritime Department), Chief Inspector Jared Obura (AP- RDU), Fredrick Otieno (Standard Group Plc), Willis Ochieng (Dubai) and Nerisha Obura (Ministry of Agriculture, livestock, Cooperatives).

Grandchildren: Florence Adhiambo (Kenyatta University), Mitchel Akinyi (Asumbi Girls), Peter Kure Junior (Maseno School), Valerie, Merab, Newton, Maren, Edwin, Emma, Leonora Maya, Ethan, Jayden. Stepchildren include Beatrice Kure (Principal, Apuoyo Sec School), Victor Omondi (Australia), Sister Lilian Achieng (Mosotho), Dr. Ken Otieno (UoN), Collins Obura (Lecturer Turkana University College), Maxwell Otieno, Clarice Obura, Potas Aoko, Mercy Akinyi and Pauline.

Sister of Joseph Akoko Ndeda, Late Apat Ndeda, Isabela, Odongo Jura, Ulda Atieno, Michael Abusi, and Ndeda. Mother-in-Law of Rhoda Dodwel, APC Florence Obura (C.I.P.U. Embakasi), Daisy Otieno (Coast Development Authority) and Edwin Oduor (Mobius Motors).

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at her rural home in Kano Kabonyo (Kibarwa) – Kisumu County and in Nairobi (Nyama Villa Area).

Body lies at Umash Funeral Home in Nairobi. Burial will be on 22/2/2020 at her home in Kano Kabonyo-Nduru (Kibarwa).
